    Interesting question, GreGG))

I'd recommend learning basic grammar and sentence structure (maybe kana) by "teach yourself" books. The rest what you need to understand speach is lots of vocabulary. You can learn new words watching dramas/movies, audio/video courses. If you need Japanese just to understand movies, then I wouldn't suggest trying to read kanji - that's a whole new level of difficulty and isn't necessary for your purposes.

xaxa, thanks for you work once again. could you suggest some good and effective method of learning Japanese on a conversational level that is enough for watching dramas?

  • Hana. 24-10-2011 15:39

Xaxa,It's okay..just for asking anyway, thank you so much.

  • zenzen 23-10-2011 21:07

Hey, Hana, don't forget to ask xaxa for his real name and home address. :)))

  • xaxa 23-10-2011 21:07

Yes, I know Japanese on a conversational level, so I can watch dramas and movies without subtitles. But I can't read or write, it's on a different level))

  • Hana 23-10-2011 20:16

Really? How do you have more Jdorama here? Do you know Japanese?

  • xaxa 23-10-2011 19:38

    To Hana.

Thank you)) No, I'm neither Japanese, nor English.

    To Anonym.

I don't know, they should be in the same archive.

  • Anonym 23-10-2011 19:03

WhyI didn't see subtitle here? Help me.

  • Hana 23-10-2011 18:22

May I know, are you Japanese or English? Your English is very nice.

  • xaxa 23-10-2011 17:43

Because they were probably translated by Google translate (or something similar). Unfortunately these are the only subtitles available in the Internet.

  • Hana 23-10-2011 17:28

Sorry, just asking. Why the subtitle in the drama not use right English?

  • xaxa 18-10-2011 21:08

Yep, Yamaguchi plays both main heroine and her twin sister.

  • Nina 18-10-2011 20:00

Is she's twin in this drama?
